"Tonì" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo expresses with elegance all the richness, warmth and intensity of the land of Abruzzo. After a maturation of 12 months in barrique and at least 24 in the bottle, a sample of power and balance is demonstrated, combining the primary hints of ripe fruit and spices with evolved nuances of humus and sweet spices and with a distinct but well-integrated woody note

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Tonì" is an impressive wine, with enticing aromas of blackberries and a pleasant grassy stretch that makes this wine sweet, expansive nose, fresh, elegant and persistent. Luigi Cataldi Madonna, who in 2013 began the process of organic conversion, is a unique character of the wine scene in Abruzzo, a point of reference, a stubborn man that respect the environment has always tried to do a good and proper farming. We are in Ofena, a few kilometers from Pescara, in what is called "the oven of Abruzzo", we are in a small plateau, a natural amphitheater located under the only ice in the Apennines, the Calderone. A unique terroir, which guarantees unique climatic conditions: the amphitheater retains heat, but the air that comes from the Calderone cool summer days, ensuring high thermal excursions that generate a higher concentration of sugars in the berries. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Tonì" Cataldi Madonna was born in the Town Cona, on a vineyard back in 1990 to 380 meters above sea level, and after 20/28 days of maceration, the tones aged in wood for 12 months and in bottle for 18. We are facing with a Montepulciano fine and classy, elegant , imposing and impenetrable to the nose gives off aromas of elegant wood, never excessive, blackberry jam, with pleasant hints of herbs, calibrated and blended. A Montepulciano d' Abruzzo from ripe fruit and nice tannins. A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that is really worth trying.
