Among the top brands of Champagne, the Maison Laurent Perrier has been able to distinguish itself in the world of bubbles for a particular and recognizable style, a mix of elegance and strong personality. The history of the winery dates back to 1812, to its founder André Michel Pierlot, while its name comes from the descending Mathilde Emilie Perrier, Laurent widow. The recovery and expansion of the company dates back after the Second World War and it is attributable to Bernard de Nonancourt, who increased the production by expanding into 147 countries worldwide.
The vineyards of the winery are rooted in the best lands of Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne, where the Cru Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs lie. These soils are planted with a deep respect for tradition and the grapes are fermented separately, in order to bring out every single characteristic of the terroir. The cellar has large steel tanks as early as 1950 was the first company in the Champagne area to have a system of temperature control, which has now become a necessity. The bottles in which the wine becomes a Champagne and then enters the market have a unique and original design, inspired by the blown-glass bottles of the seventeenth century, and became a symbol of tradition, sophistication and attention to every detail.
Faithful to a flawless and consolidated style, no less able to surprise, the Maison Laurent Perrier has become synonymous of elegance, finesse and an art de vivre à la française that itself has helped to create and to export in world. Beyond the legend, the charm of the brand is above all superb Champagne continues wonderfully to produce, cuvee after cuvee consolidating the myth.
