The Bulli winery is located in the province of Piacenza, in the small village of Bacedasco Alto, a land of sparkling wines, such as Gutturnio or Ortrugo, still made following the ancient art of ancestral re-fermentation in the bottle. These are friendly and gastronomic wines, suitable for those who do not want to get lost in technicalities or particular perfectionisms, but dedicated to those who appreciate light, territorial and spontaneous bubbles, able to bring a pinch of joy and light-heartedness to the everyday table. Behind all the sincerity and authenticity of the wonderful world of Bulli wines lies the figure of the winemaker-owner Leonardo, a generous, hospitable and cheerful man who loves his land and his work. A very old story, that Leonardo likes to recount while uncorking his bubbles and sipping them with a plate of local cold cuts. The first evidence of the winery is a medallion which was found in the cellars and which confirms that already in the early 1900s this winery, led by the Bulli family and some partners from Belgium, was producing wines for the market. The winery passed first to his father Luigi in 1960 and only in 1999 to Leonardo.
Bulli's philosophy is inspired by the principles of artisanal and genuine wine, still made according to old peasant recipes. In the beginning, the work in the vineyards is fundamental to obtain a pleasant and healthy final product; in fact, the Bulli soil is not chemically treated, and this allows the fruit to take on the scents and flavours of its land. Even in the cellar, the process is spontaneous and non-interventionist, allowing the wine to ferment in the bottle with its own indigenous yeasts and without any addition of sulphites.
Bulli wines express all the rustic freshness of the Piacenza hills. Rural and lively expressions, pleasant and drinkable, of great simplicity and lightness, to be drunk immediately in one go in their fresh youth.
