The Glenfiddich distillery dates back to 1886 when William Grant, one of the best distillers of his time, he bought an old pot still from Mrs. Elizabeth Cumming, owner of a nearby distillery. The stills current (five for the first and eight for the second distillation) were the original dimensions. The company is still owned by the Grant family who marketed the Glenfiddich malt whiskey and today is a reference name in the global landscape. In the wide range excels the Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 years old and has a creamy texture characterized by very special that enhances the smells of vanilla and berries, barley, sweet and a touch of oak. Produced in small batches, Glenfiddich Solera Reserve Whisky, combines the sweetness Spanish oloroso sherry casks that of traditional American. All this allows you to create a whiskey with notes of apple and spicy oak. It has a golden yellow color with subtle aroma and sweet. Notice is easily cereals, cookies malt, hints floral, pear, sweet rolls, caramel. The taste is intense and round, oily and enveloping with references to raspberries, cream, the peat. The aftertaste is pleasant, slightly spicy and tending to marzipan.
