Fattoria La Valentina's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Superiore "Spelt" is a territorial and expressive white wine with a vegetal, fruity and savory timbre. Produced for the first time in 2010, it immediately stood out among the whites presented by the winery, also because of its excellent value for money, proving from the start to have a truly remarkable elegance and territoriality. As of the 2017 vintage, its name is on the label in characters written in gold colour to celebrate several years of success.
Territoriality is the secret of this Trebbiano Spelt Oro La Valentina, capable of encapsulating all the peculiarities of the Abruzzo region and Pescara in particular. The strength of the La Valentina farm is certainly that of cultivating its vineyards in full respect of nature and the surrounding ecosystem, animated by the certainty that true quality improvement must take place in respect of absolute biological balance, season after season. This interpretation of the princely white grape variety of the Abruzzo region is fresh, pleasant and immediate, yet also endowed with that typical aromatic depth that has made this vine famous throughout the world.
Spelt La Valentina Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Superiore is produced in accordance with a philosophy that leaves aside the unbridled use of chemistry and technology, seeking to favour the most traditional and least invasive practices. This is also why La Valentina has chosen to adhere to principles of sustainable development and consider the environment and sustainability as unique factors of competitiveness. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, and ageing takes place on fine lees in steel and then in cement tanks. To allow its full organoleptic development, this wine is bottled 15 months after the harvest, without clarification or filtration and without the use of stabilizing substances. This production methodology is functional to best express the typicality of the Abruzzi grape variety and to encapsulate in the bottle every detail of the terroir from which it comes.
