The Sauvignon Blanc Gutswein from Weingut Reinhardt is a fresh aromatic white, made from an international grape variety that produces fine expressions in the far north. Fruity and floral aromas but especially typical green hints reminiscent of bell pepper create a truly intriguing flavor profile. On the palate it surprises with gracefulness and freshness, with a very pleasant aromatic persistence. Perfect for intensely aromatic dishes, try it with Asian vegetable dishes
With its nimble and refreshing taste, the Sauvignon Blanc Gutswein from the family-run winery Weingut Reinhardt is able to refresh the senses from the heat of summer. The vineyards managed by the Reinhardt family extend over 17 hectares, located in some of the most viticulturally suitable areas in the entire Palatinate region, and are conducted in a highly sustainable manner, as evidenced by the organic certification achieved in 2020. Alongside the Rhine Riesling, the emblem of German winegrowing, the estate grows Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and, of course, Sauvignon Blanc.
Weingut Reinhardt Sauvignon Blanc Gutswein is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in accordance with the principles of certified organic agriculture. Following the harvest, the grapes are transferred to the cellar for classic white vinification, which first involves soft pressing and then spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks. The maturation process of a few months that precedes the final bottling also takes place in stainless steel.
The Gutswein Sauvignon Blanc from Weingut Reinhardt has a straw-yellow hue with greenish highlights. Pleasant on the nose with its delicately aromatic notes of green apple, grapefruit, jasmine and clove. Vegetable hints of green pepper complete the olfactory context. In the mouth, it is fresh, lively and vibrant, albeit with a not excessive acidity that together with the light, soft body gives rise to an excellently balanced sip. The finish shows excellent sapidity and fragrance. The recommendation is to enjoy this Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate as a refreshing aperitif, perhaps accompanied by canapés and various snacks.
