SAUVIGNON 'ANDRIUS' ANDRIANO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Sauvignon "Andrius" is a white wine whose class lies in the elegance with which its aromas and flavours unfold on the nose and in the mouth.Gentle and decisive are the two words that best describe the sensations one feels when tasting this label, elegant yet resolute in offering a rich, full-bodied sip, dominated by a refreshing vein. Andriano, the first social winery founded at the end of the 19th century, offers with this bottle a clear and authentic expression of the Sauvignon grape variety cultivated in Alto Adige.

Andrius is made from pure Sauvignon grapes, an international white grape variety that is well established within the regional borders of Trentino Alto Adige. Cantina Andriano cultivates this variety in vineyards situated between 260 and 380 metres above sea level, characterised by reddish, clayey soils, rich in limestone and layers of white dolomite stone. The must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. Subsequent ageing takes place on the lees both in stainless steel, for 70% of the total mass, and in large casks, and lasts 6 months.

"Andrius" Sauvignon reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow hue, crossed by more greenish reflections, visible in the rim. The olfactory spectrum announces itself with a mix of fruity tones, from which also emerge light hints of floral and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, harmonious in the mouth, with a sip characterised by a fresh taste derived from a light citrus flavour. A label that is part of the "selections" made by Andriano, and therefore to be reserved for those evenings when wine has its importance on the table.
