Moon Import Jamaica Rum 18 Years 'The Parrots' is processed from sugarcane juice grown in Jamaica's tropical climate. After alcoholic fermentation of the juice, the brew is distilled in Pot Still copper stills at Scotland's Worthy Park Distillery. The long aging of 18 years takes place in wood casks in the cold climate of Scotland, which allows optimal organoleptic evolution of the distillate. Bottling also takes place in Scotland, with Moon Import directly selecting the casks.
The color of Jamaica Moon Import 18-Year Rum 'The Parrots' is bright amber. The olfactory landscape is described by heady and ample notes of citrus, dried fruits, nutmeg, honey, vanilla, furniture wax, precious woods, tobacco and coconut. In the mouth it is balanced and harmonious, with an enveloping but at the same time soaring progression that rests on a finish of very long flavor persistence on the sensations felt on the nose. Because of its particular value, this rum should be enjoyed at room temperature in a low Balloon goblet, ideal for enhancing the aromatic complexity of the distillate.
