Rosso "Alberese" is a refreshing and juicy wine made in the province of Florence by the artisanal winery Fattoria di Sammontana. The name 'Alberese' is a tribute to the soil carrying the same name, also known as 'galestro', which is widespread in the Chianti area and, not surprisingly, particularly appreciated by the Sangiovese vine. This is a clayey-calcareous soil, rich in skeleton and poor in organic substance, capable of producing wines of exceptional finesse. This label is intended to reveal the most immediate and easy-to-read face of the terroir.
Fattoria di Sammontana "Alberese" Rosso consists of a blend of Sangiovese and Trebbiano Toscano from 2 hectares of vineyards between 30 and 50 years old, rooted on calcareous soils. Agronomic operations are carried out in accordance with the rules of certified organic agriculture supplemented by biodynamic practices. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in stainless steel and cement vats where spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place with brief maceration on the skins. Elevation continues for a few months between steel and cement before bottling, which takes place without clarifying or filtering the mass.
"Alberese" Rosso from the Tuscan winery Fattoria di Sammontana has a pale red hue with purple reflections. Young and fragrant on the nose, described by immediate and crisp perceptions of wild berries, strawberries and wild flowers. The palate is fresh and juicy, with a light body and delicate tannin. A very drinkable red wine that is very close to rosé wines in terms of characteristics. Thanks to its accessible nature, "Alberese" should be served chilled, perhaps accompanied by traditional Tuscan cold cuts such as the famous finocchiona.
