PINOT BIANCO 'BARTHENAU - VIGNA SAN MICHELE' HOFSTATTER 2021 DESCRIPTION

The "Barthenau" is a fresh and fragrant Pinot Blanc whose fruity notes tickle the nose and palate. A bottle that encapsulates the Hofstettaer family's passion and dedication to quality wine, a goal to be always achieved in harmony with the environment surrounding the vineyards and with precise and careful working practices that never allow shortcuts. A philosophy that characterizes the work of all cooperative members, leading to labels such as the Barthenau - Vigna San Michele, a round and harmonious white, capable of agreeing with all enthusiasts. A fine product that sums up the South Tyrolean terroir in a liquid.

This Pinot Bianco "Vigna San Michele" comes from a skilful selection of grapes from an international grape variety that is widely cultivated in Trentino Alto-Adige, Pinot Bianco. Hofstatter raises the vines of this variety in vineyards on the Barthenau estate, located at an elevation of about 450 meters above sea level, on soil characterized by a calcareous, gravelly subsoil type. Once harvested during the harvest, the berries alcoholically ferment in steel containers. The wine rests gently for at least 12 months in oak barrels on its fine lees until bottling.

The Hofstatter Vigna San Michele Pinot Bianco reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow colour, shot through with flashes tending toward greenish. The olfactory spectrum moves on a progression of intense and pleasant notes, where yellow-fleshed fruit introduces tones of honey, vanilla and sweet spices. In the mouth, it is soft-bodied and enveloping, warm and structured, with an elegant and tasty sip that develops with balance and harmony. A wine with which the winery confirms its ability to present pure grape varieties, always knowing how to portray their fundamental traits.
