Pigato 'esSenza' from the Bastia d'Albenga wine cellar Bio Vio is the new label of this interesting artisanal winery on the Riviera Ligure di Ponente, which has always been committed to making healthy, genuine wines inspired by the best and most ancient traditions of the area. The vineyards have long been managed under organic farming methods, but with this new creation, Bio Vio has gone further, seeking to completely eliminate the already low percentage of sulphites even in the cellar. It is a Pigato produced without added sulphites, neither in fermentation nor in bottling, to leave intact the integrity of the grape in its full and rich aromatic expression.
The wine 'esSenza' is the most extreme and purest interpretation of Pigato proposed by Bio Vio. Giobatta Vio has established himself as one of Liguria's most capable and inspired vignerons. His estate, located near Bastia d'Albenga, is managed without the use of chemicals and in full compliance with organic farming principles. Despite its commercial success and expert recognition, Bio Vio has continued to preserve the original face of a small family business, producing pure and genuine wines. The philosophy has always been geared towards producing labels that are an authentic expression of native Ligurian grape varieties and, in particular, Pigato, capable of expressing the sunny, Mediterranean character of the Ligurian Riviera, its scents and typical, characteristic aromas.

The colour is a pale straw yellow. The bouquet is characterised by a pleasant fruity richness, fragrant and intense, on a background of citrus fruits and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis.
