The Carmignano Riserva by Piaggia is the modern interpretation of Carmignano, is the wine that stands as the absolute flagship of Tuscan winery tour with passion and dedication from family Vannucci. A family history for the name, that the 70 decided to start their own business by purchasing land and vineyards in the village of Piaggia, getting soon honors thanks to the production of Carmignano. 40 square kilometers located on the hillside of Montalbano, in the area between Florence, Prato and Pistoia. We are in the heart of Tuscany Renaissance, in an area where large temperature variations are more clearly visible in the summer, and where the soil is particularly suited, drained and rich in limestone and microelements. The Carmignano Riserva by Piaggia is a Tuscan red wine of the highest quality in recent years is making a comeback, with strength and spreading to the Chianti. The Carmignano Riserva is a wine that can age for at least 10-15 years. Born from the union of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, from a fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 18 days and after aging for at least 18 months in French oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Aging that gives an impenetrable character, very consistent, with elegant hints of tobacco, chocolate and spice.
