The Black Cat Series Dailuaine 11 Years Old Single Malt Whisky The Black Cat Series takes the form of a smooth, enveloping distillate selected by Whisky Facile. This bottle is produced by Dailuaine, a Scottish distillery founded more than 170 years ago in the hills of Speyside. Although in its long history it has mainly dedicated itself to the elaboration of whiskies intended for Blended blends, this distillery also knows how to produce persuasive Single Malts endowed with a rich and generous expression, such as this label made for Whisky Facile in just 261 pieces.
Dailuaine and Whisky Facile The Black Cat Series Whisky Single Malt 11 Years Old comes from only barley malt processed by the Dailuaine distillery in Speyside. After the malting and drying stages, the grain is steeped in hot water and prepared for alcoholic fermentation. After a few days, the brew goes through the distillation process that precedes the long aging of 11 years in oak barrels previously used for Bourbon maturation. Throughout the entire process, this Single Cask undergoes no color corrections or cold filtration operations.
To the eye, The Black Cat Series 11 Years Old Single Malt Whisky expresses a golden yellow hue with amber tones. Delicate sensations of cedar, yellow plum and waxed wood characterize the olfactory texture along with sweet hints of pastry and honey. The creamy, enveloping taste is balanced between fresh grapefruit notes and deep perceptions of coconut and salted peanuts. The recommendation is to indulge in this whiskey as a pampering treat at the end of a satisfying dinner or in mixology to bring a delicious Whiskey Sour to life.
