The Glenlivet Distillery is located near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland. And 'the oldest legal distillery in the territory of Glenlivet, place of production eponymous Scotch whiskey. Established in 1824 has operated almost continuously since then and has remained productive throughout the Great Depression with periods of closure only during the Second World War. This tenacity has meant that today is one of the largest single malt distilleries. The brand Glenlivet single malt is the most sold in the United States and the second brand in the world. At an initial fragrance of oak follow intoxicating floral scents of freesia and peony with hints of caramel, mint and chocolate. The palate is smooth and velvety, with enticing notes of spices and dried bitter orange.
