Vermentino di Sardegna 'Lintori' Capichera 2022

Capichera's "Lintòri" is a Vermentino di Sardegna that can rightly be considered iconic, as it is strongly representative of a land, a tradition and, indeed, a grape variety. The winery that produces it is located in Gallura, in Sardinia's northern area, which has become world-famous precisely because of its native Vermentino variety. The Ragnedda family has owned it since the 1970s, during which they began planting the first vines where previously there had only been pastures. About ten years later, the first bottles were put on the market and, at the same time, brothers Fabrizio and Mario took over the reins of the winery.

This Vermentino di Sardegna "Lintòri" di Capichera stands out among the white wines of Sardinia for its exceptional structure and longevity. The work of the Ragnedda family was aimed at making the wines of Sardinia known outside the region, establishing them as being of much higher than average quality. The quantity of production was limited then and still is today, making Capichera bottles a small treasure to be jealously guarded.

Vermentino "Lintòri" Capichera comes from the granite soil of Arzachena, that give its imprint on the wine significantly. The colour of the wine is a yellow hue that still leaves room for greenish tints. Its bouquet is intense and is articulated in hints of ripe yellow fruit and a hint of citrus, with the typical 'garrigue' nuances distinctive of the variety. The sip is defined by freshness and tanginess, a direct consequence of the soil of origin. The fruit and citrus aromas clearly return in the very pleasantly persistent finish. 'Lintòri' is a wine that faithfully conveys the territory of Gallura, through its character that is as generous in scents and flavours as it is strong and rich in personality. We recommend pairing it with savoury fish dishes or with risottos.
