VERMENTINO DI SARDEGNA 'VEOR' QUARTOMORO 2022 DESCRIPTION

Quartomoro's Vermentino 'Veor' di Sardegna is a white wine that interprets one of the island's most important grape varieties in a minimalist way. Vermentino is, in fact, a widely cultivated grape variety throughout the peninsula, which takes on different faces depending on the region. In Sardinia, it abounds from north to south and can present itself with different facets. The version given to us by Quartomoro takes on a Mediterranean profile, in which freshness and minerality trace a drink with clear and precise contours. A label that is on the table is a real passepartout, ideal for all occasions!

Vermentino 'Veor' di Sardegna Quartomoro comes from several vineyard plots, characterised by a subsoil with a mixed composition in which clay, sand and limestone are found. The vines grow using the espalier system, and the harvest is carried out manually in boxes. The grapes obtained from the destemming of the bunches of grapes are softly pressed, and static decantation then takes place. After destemming, fermentation begins, which takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The production process concludes with a rapid passage in steel containers lasting 4 months.

Quartomoro's Vermentino 'Veor' wine reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow colour, shot through with light veins tending more towards greenish. The nose is structured around an evident imprint reminiscent of aromatic herbs, then enriched by fruity touches and mineral effluvia. It is light-bodied and harmonious on the palate, with a mouthfeel that dynamically wraps around the palate, also thanks to a fresh and savoury vein. A white in which drinkability and intensity are in perfect balance, highlighting the excellent work done by a winery that is always careful to give space to Sardinia's most representative varietals.
