Sauvignon 'Quarz' Cantina Terlano 2022

The "Quarz" is one of the most notable and nationally renowned Sauvignons; it is a very strict selection of grapes from one of the cru on which Cantina Terlano, a production reality with ancient origins that today is characterized by great modernity and by the renowned quality of all its bottles, has decided to bet strongly, aware of the potential of this terroir. The result is a white wine of great depth, which, in addition to presenting a sip of rare elegance and structure, is characterized by the pleasing salty return, an expression of great territorial adherence.

The "Quarz" is a pure Sauvignon Blanc that the team at Cantina Terlano makes from vineyards located at varying heights between about 200 and 900 meters above sea level; these are porphyritic soils that are striking for their reddish colour, resulting from significant mineral inclusions, which in geology are called quartziferous porphyries. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, ferment slowly at a controlled temperature in steel and then mature for nine months in both large wooden barrels and stainless steel drums.

Cantina Terlano's Sauvignon "Quarz" reveals itself in the glass with a decidedly bright, golden yellow hue. Deep and layered the nose, where aromas of fruit, even exotic fruit, alternate with enveloping mineral and herbal notes. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, rounded, with a full and elegant mouthfeel characterized by a savoury aftertaste that makes for a very satisfying drinking experience. This is a bottle that deserves more than one taste, giving emotions with every single sip, and thanks to its multifaceted personality, it pairs beautifully with various culinary preparations.
