Antonelli San Marco's Sagrantino di Montefalco "Chiusa di Pannone" is a wine made entirely from Sagrantino grapes, a grape variety indigenous to Umbria and which comes from this territory with the best expressions. In the heart of the Montefalco appellation, in Località San Marco, the clusters of this wine grow and undergo a mass selection in order to always have in the future the best quality fruits that can guarantee the maximum expressiveness of both the vine and the territory.

Antonelli San Marco's "Chiusa di Pannone" sees its 25-year-old Sagrantino vineyards grow at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level with southern exposure. The soils are composed mainly of clay and limestone, rich in gravel and remnants of rivers and ancient lakes. The story of this Sagrantino begins with the harvest, starting in the second week of September and carried out only by hand. Once the clusters are brought to the winery, they are carefully selected and then go to fill gravity tanks in which fermentation on the skins will wait for about 3-4 weeks at a temperature of about 28 degrees. After the malolactic fermentation takes place in wood, an aging process initially of 48 months in tonneaux and 25-hectoliter oak barrels concludes the process, ending with 6 months in cement.

Antonelli San Marco's "Chiusa di Pannone' Sagrantino di Montefalco shows an intense garnet red color with great depth. The richness of the aromas immediately invades the nostrils where cherries in spirit and black pepper are the two notes that open the dance of this waltz of aromas, punctuated by toasted nuances of tobacco, leather and coffee. Powerful and warm, this Sagrantino pampers the palate thanks to its imperious but delicately textured tannins that, cleaning the mouth, make "Chiusa di Pannone" a wine of infinite and tenacious persistence.
