Il Rum Plantation XO nasce per celebrare il ventesimo anniversario di fondazione della Maison Ferrand. Rum selected and aged for many years in the Caribbean, are carefully blended by cellar master at Château de Bonbonnet, before being aged in small French oak barrels for a further period which can range from 12 to 18 months. A "double-aging" so that gives the rum a palate round and creamy. Created to represent the unique style of Plantation Rum, as mentioned aging starts in the Caribbean in former bourbon casks before finishing ripening in France at the company Ferrand Cognac producer (owner of Plantation Rum), led by 20-year Alexandre Cages. Winner of the gold medal at the international competition RumXP the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival, is full of spicy notes of vanilla and dark chocolate, followed by hints of ripe banana and sugar cane. He decided aromas of coconut cream and creme brulee, supported by a full body and rich is accented aromas of sweet spice, roasting and ripe fruit. The palate is soft and full, slightly sweet, with notes of coconut, nut, tobacco, spices and a good underlying acidity supported by notes of cedar and lime. The finish is long, dry and full.
