Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut, "Vecchie Viti" from the Ruggeri winery, is one of the appellation's absolute best labels. It is made only from a selection of grapes from the oldest vines of the Glera Verdiso, Bianchetta and Perera varieties. The low dosage allows the grapes to express their extraordinary harmony and aromatic richness in a limpid way, giving a Prosecco of rare intensity and elegance. A great bottle which tells the story of a territory with floral, fruity and pleasantly mineral notes.
Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut "Vecchie Viti" is produced in the beautiful territory of the historic Prosecco area. Ruggeri is one of the most important names in the Valdobbiadene area and manages several of the most vocated parcels in the area. The vineyards are cultivated on the steep slopes of magnificent sunny exposures, characterized by the presence of very vocated calcareous-clay soils. The cool and always very ventilated climate allows us to harvest healthy and aromatically rich grapes. Some Prosecco labels loved by the most demanding fans of this important sparkling wine denomination are born from these assumptions. In particular, the Vecchie Viti is a Prosecco of rare expressive purity, expressing the authentic character of the magnificent terroir of Valdobbiadene.
Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut "Vecchie Viti" sparkling wine from the Ruggeri winery is an excellence born of a great tradition. Glera, Verdiso, Bianchetta and Perera grapes are pressed very softly, and the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After several months of maturation on the lees in steel tanks, the second fermentation is carried out in autoclaves using the Charmat or Martinotti method. Prosecco Superiore has a straw yellow colour, crossed by a perlage of beautiful finesse. The bouquet is reminiscent of floral scents, white-fleshed fruit, pear, apple, peach and nuances of aromatic herbs. The sip is agile and flowing, with a harmonious, fresh and savoury finish. A journey through the history of Prosecco, Ruggeri's "Vecchie Viti": the "Prosecco of memory."
