PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SUPERIORE EXTRA DRY COL DEL SAS - SPAGNOL DESCRIPTION

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Extra Dry from the Col del Sas Spagnol winery is a label that represents very well the classic version of Prosecco in its soft and harmonious guise, thanks to the generous Extra-Dry sugar dosage. It is a sparkling wine made with grapes of excellent quality from selected vineyards and cared for down to the smallest detail, thanks to the experience and passion of one of the reference producers in the Valdobbiadene area. The beautiful sunny exposures, the cool climate, always very ventilated, and the vocated soils of a prevalent calcareous matrix allow the Glera to express itself on the highest levels, with fresh, fruity sparkling wines, with an easy sip and capable of giving immediate pleasure.

Extra Dry Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore is the fruit of the craftsmanship of one of the most highly rated wineries in the Marca Trevigiana. The Spagnol family has been in the Colbertaldo di Vidor area for several generations and owns some fine land on the Col del Sas hill, which has always been renowned for the superior quality of its wines. The Glera grapes are grown in vineyards located in the best parcels of the estate, among the beautiful green hills of the historic Valdobbiadene area. At the end of harvesting operations, the grapes are subjected to a soft pressing to extract only the precious flower must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The base wines are blended and transferred to autoclaves for frothing and re-fermentation according to the Martinotti or Charmat Method, which lasts a total of about 45 days.

Spumante Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Extra Dry is a bottle from the Col del Sas Spagnol range that represents the territory, its history and ancient tradition very well. In the glass, it is straw yellow in colour with slight and luminous greenish reflections. The perlage is fine and of good persistence. The nose is characterized by aromas of citrus, pear, golden apple, white peach, nuances of white flowers and herbs. The sip is enveloping, soft and pleasantly creamy, with ripe and delicate fruit, anticipating a balanced, harmonious and pleasantly savoury finish. It is the ideal Prosecco to enjoy at aperitif time or to accompany light seafood or vegetable appetizers.
