Nova Domus Riserva Cantina Terlano 2021

The Nova Domus is a Riserva signed by Cantina Terlano, a production reality that has several awards to its credit for its white wines, always of admirable finesse and greatness. This label is no exception, and year after year, it reaps interesting scores in the major national and international wine guides. Vigorous nose, rich in facets enriched by a sip that also combines a touch of savoriness to the taste. This Nova Domus Riserva is made by Cantina Terlano from a blend in which we find Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. These varieties grow in different plots, between 250 and 900 meters above sea level, with an exposure ranging from south to southwest. Harvesting is done manually, and an initial skimming of the clusters takes place during the operations. The crushing is done in the whole cluster and is followed by racking by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place slowly in large wooden barrels in which the temperature is kept under control. Malolactic fermentation takes place only for Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay grapes. The final stage of ageing lasts 12 months and takes place in large wooden barrels.

Cantina Terlano's Nova Domus Riserva reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow colour. The nose is deep, expressing itself on interesting notes in which it is the fruit that takes on different nuances, enriching itself with references to aromatic herbs and more tertiary touches. Well-balanced in the mouth, it has a structured and firm body with a pure and mountainous aspect, in which a pleasant savoury imprint emerges on the palate. A blend with a noble origin that expresses its absolute potential only after several years of maturation in the bottle: if you can, try to hold out for a couple more years before uncorking it.
