Clos Marfisi's 'Cuvée Julie' is a fresh and mineral Rosé from only Niellucciu grapes, produced a few metres from the sea on the northern Corsican coast. Matured in steel, this wine has very pleasant fruity, tropical and floral scents, reminiscent above all of undergrowth and lavender. Excellent with summer seafood dishes, but also with cheeses of character

The Corsican winery Clos Marfisi presents the Niellucciu Rosé 'Cuvée Julie', an organic rosé wine that is anything but ordinary, boasting an enticing savory and mineral taste. The 'Cuvée Julie' is the first label created entirely autonomously by Julie Marfisi, a winemaker who now leads the family estate alongside her brother Mathieu, drawing on the lessons learned while working alongside their father Toussaint, who planted many of the estate's vineyards 40-50 years ago. This wine, born in 2011, aims to represent the magical bond between Julie and her beloved land.
The Niellucciu 'Cuvée Julie' Clos Marfisi Rosé originates from solely Niellucciu grapes grown following the principles of organic agriculture on limestone-rich soils. Following a strictly manual harvest, the grapes are softly pressed, with the resulting must undergoing spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks thanks to the intervention of the yeasts present on the grapes and in the cellar environment. The subsequent aging process for a few months also takes place in stainless steel, and the wine is finally bottled without any filtration.
The 'Cuvée Julie' Rosé Niellucciu by Clos Marfisi has an intense pink color. The aromatic bouquet expresses aromas of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, accompanied by floral hints of lavender and notes of aromatic herbs, all supported by a solid mineral vein. The palate emerges for its pronounced freshness and marked savory-mineral trail, as well as for its crisp and decisive finish, which is highly enjoyable. This rosé differs from the typical easy-drinking rosés and therefore should be paired with rather flavorful foods, such as platters of medium-aged cheeses and cured meats or tasty savory pies.
