Gulfi's Nero d'Avola Nerobufaleffj is made from the grapes of old vines cultivated with the alberello system in a parcel of the estate located in the contrada of the same name near Pachino, just off the coast. The Mediterranean climate, influenced by sea breezes and the soil characterized by the abundant presence of sands and limestone components, helps to give Nero d'Avola an elegant structure and a savoury streak that characterize it in a distinctive way. At the end of the classic red wine vinification with maceration on the skins, the wine matures for 24 months in French oak barriques and ends the ageing period with a few months in the bottle.
