Gabriele and Serena Cordero's Langhe Nebbiolo 'Fuschia' is a fragrant and approachable expression that reflects the most immediate qualities of Nebbiolo. Gabriele and Serena are two young producer siblings who followed in the footsteps of their father, Gianfranco Cordero, an important Piedmontese winemaking consultant. The three of them started their own personal project in 2016 in Priocca, in the Roero area, under the name Gabriele Cordero. While Serena takes care of the winemaking, her younger brother Gabriele dedicates himself to the vineyards with great passion. The result is authentic and typical wines that impress with their sublime pleasantness.
Gabriele and Serena Cordero's Langhe Nebbiolo 'Fuschia' originates from only Nebbiolo grapes coming from young vineyards planted on predominantly sandy soils with a southwest exposure. In the cellar, the grapes are crushed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins, with temperature control. After the fermentation process is completed, the mass matures for a few months still in steel and is finally bottled and left to rest for a further short period before being released on the market.
On visual examination, Gabriele and Serena Cordero's Langhe Nebbiolo 'Fuschia' appears with a ruby red hue and bright reflections. The olfactory range is crisp and seductive in its aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, and rose petals that blend with balsamic and undergrowth nuances. In the mouth, it is soft and structured, with silky tannins and a brilliant fresh-savory component that contributes to the dynamism of the sip and accompanies long-lasting sensations of red fruits. A label that can be enjoyed both in its youth and after a few years of aging in the cellar.
