Elio Altare's Nebbiolo is the most young, fragrant and direct expression of the famous and prestigious red grape variety of the Langhe. Produced from the prized grapes of the La Morra area, it is a red wine with an elegant and fine face, with a sip characterised by great delicacy and good aromatic persistence. The light vinification and brief passage in wood allow the Nebbiolo to preserve the floral and fruity fragrance typical of its refined varietal profile.
Nebbiolo Elio Altare is born in the heart of the beautiful hilly Langhe region. The vineyards are located in the commune of La Morra, where the famous Piedmontese winemaker manages his estate with passion and craftsmanship. In the countryside, no synthetic chemicals are used and in the cellar, work is limited to what is strictly necessary, without even intervening with clarification or filtration. Elio Altare's style, rigorous, essential, linked to tradition, but always with an eye on innovation and experimentation, has made him one of the most famous names in the Langhe. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for 3 or 4 days in rotary fermenters at a controlled temperature. The wine matures for 6 months in used French oak barriques.
The Nebbiolo wine from Elio Altare's Piedmontese cellar has all the nobility and elegance of the best grapes from La Morra, which has always been famous for the fine and harmony of its wines. In the glass it presents itself with a typical ruby red mantle of excellent luminosity. The bouquet expresses light, delicate aromas of violets and rose petals, with hints of the fruity world with aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries and redcurrants. The sip is dynamic, agile and flowing, with a subtle tannic texture and a pleasant final freshness.
