The amber colour with orange highlights accompanies rich aromas of ripe fruit and an unforgettable sip
Muscat 'Vertige' is a pleasantly aromatic French orange wine born of the collaboration between Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz. The Du Vin aux Liens oenological reality is dedicated to the selection of small producers operating according to organic or biodynamic agriculture principles to give rise to synergies capable of enhancing these artisan vignerons, mainly located in Alsace and Loire. Domaine Albert Hertz, located within the Alsatian municipality of Eguisheim, can boast both organic and biodynamic certification. The sparkling and colourful illustration on the label is the work of artist Ariel Cortez.
'Vertige' Muscat from Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz consists solely of Muscat Ottonel grapes grown under certified organic and biodynamic conditions. The southeast-facing vines are about 35 years old and benefit from the continental climate and clay-limestone soil. Following manual harvesting, the bunches are transferred to the cellar, where they are mellowed in stainless steel tanks for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, accompanied by approximately 10 days of maceration on the skins. Subsequently, the wine matures on the fine lees, also in stainless steel, for about 12 months before bottling, which takes place without prior clarification and filtration.
On visual inspection, the 'Vertige' Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz Muscat presents itself with a sunny, bright amber colour with orange highlights. The nose is rich and intense in its aromas of ripe fruit and macerated flowers that blend with perceptions of citrus and roasted notes. The breadth and aromatic vein on the palate are supported by tenacious savouriness and excellent freshness. Long finish of exceptional taste-olfactory correspondence.
