"La Galeisa" is a Moscato d'Asti that comes from a vineyard having almost 50 years of age and located on sandy soil at an altitude of 320 meters. The bouquet is intriguing and enveloping, yet still delicate and fine: sage, mint and white peach blend and give a dense, fresh, creamy and persistent sip to this very pleasant sweet sparkling wine

Romano Dogliotti of La Caudrina presents Moscato d'Asti 'La Galeisa,' a sweet sparkling wine distinguished by appreciable aromatic complexity. 'La Galeisa' is the second label produced by Romano Dogliotti, owner of the winery who, in 1989, harvested Moscato Bianco grapes from a single cru, making this wine that has now become identifiable for La Caudrina, a wine reality in Castiglione Tinella. Romano represents one of the figures who have strongly contributed to the enhancement of Moscato d'Asti since he took the reins of the family winery in the late 1970s. "Galeisa" is the name of the hill where the grapes destined for this cru come from.
Moscato d'Asti La Caudrina 'La Galeisa' is made from only Moscato Bianco grapes from a vineyard planted in 1970 on calcareous-sandy soils located at an elevation of 320 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and then immediately soft-pressed, with the resulting must undergoing clarification and filtration processes aimed at obtaining a brilliant liquid. The mass is then stored in cold rooms until fermentation, which takes place in temperature-controlled autoclaves using selected yeasts.
'La Galeisa' Moscato d'Asti from La Caudrina has a deep straw yellow, almost golden colour. The olfactory range is intense and complex, defined by inviting hints of white peach, lychee, sage and mint, punctuated by sweet scents of white flowers. Sweet and fresh on the palate, with a creamy effervescence that can enhance the final fruity flavour. The recommendation is to indulge in Moscato d'Asti 'La Galeisa' on its own at the end of a meal or paired with desserts that are not overly sweet.
