"Trias" is a white wine elegant and intense from the Niedrist winery, made from the three grape varieties Chardonnay, Viognier and Petit Manseng, aged in steel and wood. It smells of quince, pears and tangerine, with smoky hints of vanilla and caramel. Rich and enveloping on the palate, dynamic, well balanced between freshness and smoothness

The Mitterberg Weiss 'Trias' from the family-run Niedrist winery is a South Tyrolean white wine with pure Alpine character, resulting from a distinctive blend of Chardonnay, Petit Manseng and Incrocio Manzoni. This bottle winks at the great whites of Burgundy with its full, elegant and complex style, not without lively freshness. For nearly two centuries, the Niedrist family has dedicated itself to viticulture in the Ronco area of Cornaiano, in the heart of the Oltradige wine-growing region.
Niedrist Weiss 'Trias' Mitterberg is made mostly from Chardonnay grapes, associated with smaller percentages of Petit Manseng and Manzoni Bianco. The vines, derived from massal and clonal selection, are grown between 450 and 580 meters above sea level on mainly limestone soils in the Appiano Monte area and porphyritic soils with acidic moraine deposits in the Cornaiano area. Manual harvesting is accompanied by careful selection of the grapes, which are then vinified in barrique and 5-hectoliter tonneaux for the Chardonnay, in stainless steel tanks for the Incrocio Manzoni and Petit Manseng. Subsequently, the masses mature in the same type of containers on fine lees for 8 months before blending and final bottling.
Niedrist's White 'Trias' Weiss Mitterberg possesses a deep straw yellow colour. Complex olfactory range, consisting of scents of tangerine, ripe pear and flowers meeting sweet notes of caramel and vanilla. Rich, dense and suave taste progression, well balanced by the bright fresh-sappy drive that drives the final sensations of citrus, ripe fruit and sweet spices consistent with the nose. Because of its remarkable breadth and complexity, this white wine is an excellent match for elaborate first courses or richly flavoured seafood dishes.
