'MAPPALE 77' DALLE ORE 2020 DESCRIPTION

The Veneto-based winery Dalle Ore introduces 'Mappale 77', a white wine with an exotic soul resulting from a distinctive blend of the international grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, with a touch of Riesling Renano. The first two varieties bring elegance and structure, respectively, while the addition of a small percentage of Rhine Riesling gives a vibrant freshness. The appellation 'Mappale 77' derives from the vineyard identification of the vineyard in the municipality of Trissino from which the grapes come.

Mappale 77' Dalle Ore comes from a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Grigio (45%), to which 5% Riesling Renano is added. The vines, grown on a certified organic regime supplemented by biodynamic practices, are rooted on clayey hillside soils facing southeast and located at an altitude of 300 metres above sea level. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand in crates, and the bunches are then subjected to soft pressing followed by the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After a few months of maturation in the same type of wine container, the wine is finally bottled and marketed.

The 'Mappale 77' from the Dalle Ore winery has an intense straw yellow hue. Clear hints of yellow-fleshed fruit and tropical fruit describe the aromatic array, surrounded by delicate floral and mineral hints. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and balanced, characterised by a pleasant savoury streak that guides the slightly aromatic finish. By virtue of its marked freshness and dynamism, this bottle can be easily enjoyed as an aperitif, as well as served at the table as an accompaniment to hors d'oeuvres, medium-aged cheeses and fish dishes.
