Brolettino is a Lugana of great depth that is aged for 10 months in barrique. This aging in wood increases the structure and smoothness of this charming Magnum, which on the nose shows notes of ripe yellow fruit, nuances of roses and a balsamic finish. In the mouth it does not lose its freshness and elegance and offers a full and persistent sip

Ca' dei Frati Lugana 'Brolettino' constitutes a bottle of noteworthy balance and pleasantness, a pure expression of the indigenous Turbiana grape variety, otherwise known as Trebbiano di Lugana and Trebbiano di Soave in the Veneto area of the same name. After several ampelographic and genetic studies, it was ascertained that this variety is a clone of Verdicchio, a renowned white grape of Marche origin. 'Brolettino' is undoubtedly one of the estate's most representative labels, strongly linked to its area of origin.
Ca' dei Frati's Lugana 'Brolettino' comes from only Trebbiano di Lugana grapes grown on limestone-clay soils, with the clusters being harvested when fully ripe and then subjected to a soft pressing. The must thus obtain conveyed into steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation begins at a controlled temperature, a process that is concluded in oak barriques where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The ensuing maturation phase, which lasts for 10 months, also takes place in barriques, and the wine is finally bottled and allowed to rest for a short period before release.
On visual inspection, the 'Brolettino' Lugana from the Lombard estate Ca' dei Frati shows a straw-yellow hue with golden flashes. The aromatic range opens with hints of ripe fruit such as peach, melon and yellow apple, combined with hints of pineapple and citrus, as well as perceptions of vanilla and toasted almond. Excellent balance on the palate between the soft, enveloping body and lively freshness, with a savoury finish playing on pleasant tropical fruit sensations. The producer himself suggests pairing this white wine with legume soups, rich seafood dishes, medium-aged cheeses or even white meats and poultry.
