"Cuvée Fontenille" is a white wine from the Rhône Valley of great freshness and drinkability that comes from an assembly of local grapes grown on the banks of the Luberon mountain. Matured exclusively in steel, it reserves an agile and taut profile, of great lightness and delicacy, with hints of lemon, juicy white fruit and a valuable mineral and saline trail
Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Blanc originates in France in the beautiful Rhône Valley area, traditionally vocated for the production of white and red wines of inimitable quality and for being an area where wine production thrives every year. The winery is family-run and its foundation dates back to the 17th century. Over time, generations have succeeded in bringing innovation so that the family business could survive over time: new materials for the construction of the winery and rows of stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels arranged in a semicircle for careful and exclusive production.
Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Blanc vineyards are cultivated on soils mainly composed of lime, clay and stones that give the wine an important structure. The cultivation regime is totally organic, respecting the natural habitat surrounding the vineyard and ensuring optimal and complete ripening of the grapes. Pesticides, herbicide and chemicals are not used in the cultivation process in order not to interfere with or intoxicate the surrounding nature. Harvesting is done by hand; in the cellar, alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts occurs for 3 weeks; it is aged a few months in steel before being bottled.
Domaine de Fontenille's Luberon Blanc has a straw yellow color with bright highlights. The aromas are reminiscent of citrus, ripe yellow-fleshed fruit and vegetal notes on the finish; in the mouth it reveals lightness and delicacy accompanied by mineral and fresh hints for an inviting drink. In pairing it is recommended with shellfish, molluscs and fried fish dishes; also interesting with fresh cheeses and vegetarian dishes. Great to enjoy throughout a meal for light business lunches or for carefree evenings with the family, spent enjoying a wine with hidden flavors.
