The Gewurztraminer Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain Grand Cru is a guarantee of absolute perfection. This wonderful Gewurztraminer is produced by Zind Humbrecht wine cellar; a famous name in the firmament of Alsatian wine , now managed completely organic by Olivier Humbrecht. Despite his young age, Olivier Humbrecht has founded the international union of biodynamic winemakers (www.biodyvin.com), affirming not only his will to work in a completely natural way, respectful of the characteristics of the terroir, but also to be a man able to fight for his ideas, combining eighty-six producers from all over France and Europe. In Alsace, the Gewurztraminier has its undisputed reign, where it achieved levels of excellence unbelievable. This vine hasn’t always been very popular for its difficult cultivation: very susceptible to climate, often gives small and uncertain harvests, although it is capable of giving the best of themselves in places where the temperatures are quite cold. The Zind Humbrecht winery combines undisputed capabilities of Oliver Humbrecht to the Alsatian terroir, one of the best areas in the world. Together they creates a wine which doesn’t need any introduction. Indeed, the words Grand Cru, tied with the name of a valuable winemaking reality as Zind Humbrecht, lets you easily guess the nobility of this Gewurztraminer. The Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain Grand Cru is stunningly elegant, complex and aromatic, with low acidity. What i can only say is that this wine is an incredible fairy tale.
