Hofstatter's Gewurztraminer is a medium-bodied aromatic white wine with a rich, fruity personality. Light toasty and spicy nuances best enhance the typical aromas of the grape variety in a simple, fresh sip that is very well balanced
Gewurztraminer Joseph is one of the most representative whites from the Hofstatter winery, one of the historic wineries in Tramin, Alto Adige. This white flatly reflects the winery's philosophy and embodies a style played on precision, definition and aromatic clarity. It is born from a careful and environmentally friendly viticulture, with the aim of giving life to an expression that can communicate in a brilliant and innovative way the peculiarities of the territory and of South Tyrolean viticulture.
All this is the Hofstatter Gewurztraminer called Joseph, an aromatic white wine with a spicy and fragrant bouquet and a full and rich flavor, a perfect representation of the terroir. The typicality of the grape variety is achieved and enhanced through a rigorous and modern production process that contemplates the use of only neutral stainless steel containers. The grapes are lightly crushed and, after a short maceration between skins and the liquid part, softly pressed. The resulting must is left to decant and then fermented at a controlled temperature.
Only in this way can a label such as the Joseph Gewurztraminer Hofstatter be born, so typical, territorial, pleasant and seductive at the same time. The typical aromas of the grape variety are expressed in a delicate and harmonious symphony of rose petals, yellow and tropical fruit, in a sip of great clarity, brilliance and generosity. Balance, freshness, and harmony are the qualities of this wine and constitute the main features of this historic winery in Alto Adige.
