Gattinara Nervi is a red wine of amazing intensity and elegance made with Nebbiolo grapes grown on the historic Luigi Nervi estate active since 1906 and now owned by the noble Giacomo Conterno winery. Aged for 36 months in historic large barrels, it has an intense and complex profile with aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and hints of undergrowth. On the palate it is full and rich, of great harmony and elegance, moderately tannic and with valuable fresh and mineral nuances given by the volcanic terroir at the foot of Monte Rosa

The Gattinara by Nervi is one of those wines that stand for balance and for cleaning, which are able to offer. Was born in Nervi, the oldest winery in the entire territory of Gattinara, founded by Luigi in 1906, just where the Monte Rosa fails to protect the vineyards from cold northern winds and provides a nice outfit for spring and autumn breezes that are a key ingredient for the perfect health of the grapes. Here the soils have unique characteristics: the vines thrive on igneous rock rich in volcanic minerals that have a high content of clay, mixed with fine sand. The Gattinara by Nervi comes from vineyards Molsino, Valferana, Garavoglie and Casacce, between 290 and 425 meters above sea level, from the Nebbiolo grape, locally called Spanna, which here express a great minerality. The Gattinara by Nervi born from the passion of the family Astrup, Norwegian and great winelovers, who have allowed themselves to be conquered by this great winery, combining passion, competence and respect for tradition with a modern vision and entrepreneurial. And their Gattinara is an expression of this: difficult to view as a product "base" for the great elegance and minerality that is able to express. It’s clean, pure and austere, is a Gattinara that releases notes and hints of cherries and blueberries that give way to elegant tertiary aromas. A wine that will open in spectacular fashion in your glass to give the best of themselves sip by sip.
