The Franciacorta Satèn Millesimato by Enrico Gatti is a medium-bodied, elegant and fragrant sparkling wine, aged on the lees in the bottle for 36 months. It is fresh, harmonious and balanced, enriched by hints of fruit, citrus and white flowers, with savory and mineral nuances
The Saten is one of the top products of the cellar run by Enrico Gatti, a winemaker with a strong passion that in 1972 chose to leave his job as a contractor to plant the first hectar of vines on a piece of land leased by the nobles of Brescia Pasini. Since then the property has increased its dimension till 17 hectares and the company has experienced a substantial improvement, with the planting of new vineyards and a threefold expansion of the winery. Following a policy devoted to the celebration of Franciacorta tradition, Enrico Gatti began to produce wines with a strong character, able to highlight the various personalities of the land of origin: as a proof of this, we can quote the meticulous varietal selection applied in the vineyard and the adoption of systems of cultivation at a low environmental impact. The Saten fully reflects these parameters, distinguishing each year among the wines of the same category on the most important wine guides. Obtained solely from 100% Chardonnay grape and marked by a single vintage, Saten is a silky wine, characterized by a strong freshness accompanied by soft and fragrant notes, while the accents of citrus and spices involve the palate, with a very persistent finish. The Saten by Enrico Gatti makes enjoyable the pairing with tasty appetizers along with its freshness and minerality, but also turns out to be perfect along the entire meal, which it knows how to deal with thanks to the complexity of flavors that is able to express.
