Ferghettina Extra Brut is unquestionably one of the most renowned sparkling wines produced by means of Champenoise Method in the Italian scene, able to attract since the earliest years of production the attention of the public and to conquer the most important awards of wine guides. It took just twenty years to Roberto Gatti to build and strengthen its business in a brilliant way, passing from the first 4 hectares to about 120 in production today, located in all the six municipalities that fall under the denomination Franciacorta, all of those beautiful for position, altitude and exposure. After the full inclusion in the management team of Laura and Matteo Gatti Ferghettina has achieved significant results in production volumes, also thanks to the new business center of 6000 square meters built in Adro, in the heart of Franciacorta. Manufactured by a selection of the best vineyards owned and on vintage, Ferghettina Extra Brut is aged on the lees for 72 months: a procedure for such a long duration, typical of the most amazing bottles produced by the major French Maison in the region of Champagne, provides an extraordinary balance between complexity and freshness, ensuring a substantial extraction of aromatic substances to be found in the glass along with elegant mineral notes from the terroir that close the tasting. Products exactly like this one are able to highlight the wide expressive potential of Franciacorta, year after year ever closer to the excellent results of traditional French producers.
