Fiano di Avellino by Ciro Picariello is a typically Irpinia wine, which is expressed in the weaving notes of citrus and herbs that blend well with savory nuances and an almost nutty flavor. Ciro Picariello, indefatigable winemaker, came silently in the star system of producers of Fiano di Avellino, but now his name is well established among the lovers of this variety. We are now in their sixth bottling, that is since the year 2004 has emancipated from bestower of grapes to third parties, and the peculiarities of his Fiano di Avellino never cease to amaze. The grapes that give rise to the Fiano di Avellino come from the selections of vineyards owned by Summonte and Montefredane, twenty years of age. The old vines combined with the unique passion of Ciro, made the Fiano, since its first vintage, a wine with typical and unique expressiveness. The diverse bouquet opens the way for a great tasting, fresh and fruity, persistent and consistent to the end in the aromas and flavors. A wine that has started to be bottled in 2004, by which time the market crisis had begun, and perhaps also that it was easier for Ciro and Rita, his wife, take the path of simplicity and specialization: manufacturing steel and the idea of dating a year later than their colleagues producers of Fiano. In this way, the winery has won over fans of Fiano, who find themselves in that of Ciro Picariello a unique flavor, the fruit of labor in the vineyard and the unique characteristics of Irpinia.
