The Donà Rouge wine is created with a beautiful blend of grapes by Harmatann Donà, a unique winemaker in South Tyrol. After a diploma in oenology and have worked for years with the cellar Terlano, this producer now runs his own cellar, since almost ten years. The winery is located in an old barn, renovated with style, and here is where Donà Harmatan composes his own wine, guaranteeing it all the time it requires to be ready, regardless of the short term of market logic. The Dona Ruoge primarily stems from Schiava grapes, enriched by a small percentage of Pinot Noir and Lagrein. The Schiava is a red grape variety which is very common in Trentino Alto Adige and other provinces in the North-East Italy; Harmatann Dona decided to work it in such a way as to create a very special wine. The Donà Rouge is a wine of great personality, with a balanced tannic character, is one of the most enjoyable performances of the Schiava vine ever tasted. Thanks to avant-garde research, Harmatann Donà was able to re-evaluate the Schiava, a vine long forgotten and misunderstood. Today we have the opportunity to taste a harmonious red wine, where the Schiava dominates elegantly its taste, this ensemble is complemented by hints of pinot noir and mineral notes conferred by the moraine of the vineyards near Merano.
