Chardonnay Alois Lageder 2023
Alois Lageder

Chardonnay Alois Lageder 2023

The Chardonnay by Alois Lageder is a very drinkable expression of great freshness that is only aged in steel to enhance the varietal grape fragrances. A young and snappy olive tone emerges, where white fruit and citrus fruits play the role of the protagonists, flanked by floral aromas and mineral accents. It flows easily into the mouth, highlighting an invigorating freshness and an intriguing sapid-mineral note

CHARDONNAY ALOIS LAGEDER 2023 DESCRIPTION

Alois Lageder’s Chardonnay is a beautiful young and fragrant version of this famous white grape variety, which in its homeland produces some of the best white wines in the world. It is a variety arrived in South Tyrol from Burgundy during the nineteenth century and from the beginning it has often been confused with Pinot Blanc. Fresh, aromatic, very elegant and rich, it is one of the wines of the region, which the winery has decided to interpret in the sign of expressive purity, focusing on the pleasing floral and fruity notes characteristic of the grape. It is an ideal wine to taste with seafood appetizers or dishes with a delicate taste.

Chardonnay is one of the most successful wines of Alois Lageder’s winery, among the whites it is the one that best interprets the ancient vocation of the territory to produce simple and pleasantly flowing young wines. It is a mountain Chardonnay, characterized by its particular geographical location, which naturally enhances its finesse and expressive elegance. The Chardonnay vineyards are cultivated in the famous areas of Magré, Cortaccia, Salorno and Pochi at an altitude between 230 and 500 meters above sea level. The mainly sandy soils, rich in limestone and the cool and breezy climate lead to the harvest grapes with intense aromas. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine ages for 4 months on the fine lees in steel tanks.

The white Chardonnay Lageder is a wine that comes from a selection of grapes from the vineyards of consignors historically linked to the winery for a long time and working to the same standards required in the vineyards of the estate. In the glass is presented a beautiful straw yellow color with brilliant greenish reflections, which anticipates fragrant aromas of citrus, floral nuances, notes of white pulp fruit, peach and tropical hints. We find the same aromatic palette on the palate, with an expressive fruit, juicy, well supported by a lively mineral freshness. The mountain Chardonnay in its essential purity.
