The Calvados Reserve Christian Drouin arises at Coeur de Lion, the distillery, which is located in the lush green landscape of Lower Normandy, in the sought d'Auge land, that belongs to Drouin family and has been passed down from generation to generation. The work of Drouin family takes place in a 17th century farm, a setting characterized by an ancient bucolic atmosphere and an authentic love for nature and for its products. The attribution "Reserve" refers to spirits that are aged for four years or longer and have been housed in small oak barrels, whose wood gives hints of vanilla to the Calvados. The maturity of the Calvados Reserve can be recognized for the reference to its own youth, which is imbued with fruity and floral notes. In fact, the full-bodied saveur spirit is combined with an enveloping aroma of apple: a fineness of intriguing flavors to be enjoyed in all its entirety. Drouin family praises the Calvados Reserve in reference to the ancient “Trou Normand” ceremonial in order to relive the delicious feelings of Norman culture.
