Elegant and intense white wine with enveloping notes of wildflowers and exotic fruit, with a buttery finish and toasty notes, complex, warm and full-bodied, fermented and aged in new Allier barrels
Braide Alte is the most representative, well-known and award-winning wine of the Livon winery, a Collio wine excellence. It is made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Picolit and Moscato Giallo grapes from the prestigious Braide Alte vineyard, located in Ruttars, in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio.
The intensity and elegant complexity of the Braide Alte Livon is due to the selection of healthy grapes of great quality and to very scrupulous production processes involving separate vinifications. The grapes, hand-picked in wooden crates, convey to a horizontal press, where the must cold macerates for eight hours. Fermentation takes place in new Allier barriques, where the wine continues to mature, without racking or movement, for eight months at a constant temperature. After the final blending stage, the wine is bottled and further aged in the bottle.
The Braide Alte Livon presents itself to the eyes with an intense straw yellow color with golden reflections; the nose is intense and broad, with spicy notes. The palate is warm and voluminous, balanced by an unforgettable savory and fresh trail. An impeccable and long-lived auteur wine that lends itself to accompanying well-structured fish dishes as well as grilled meats or roasts.
