"Les Sources" is a Bordeaux Superieur that Jean Faux makes on the right of the Garonne river starting from a classic blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A juicy red and deeply territorial, which speaks to the nose with aromas of undergrowth, light spices, cocoa and pleasantly vegetal echoes. In the mouth it is rich, material and enveloping with silky tannin and long-closing

Chateau Jean Faux's "Les Sources" is a Bordeaux Rouge Superieur that masterfully represents the most typical characteristics of this appellation. It is produced in the Sainte-Radegonde area, a few kilometres from the Saint-Emilion appellation on the right bank of the Garonne River, where Merlot is the undisputed lord. This Chateau has an ancient origin and the current owner Pascal Collotte settled in 2002 alongside his family, forging a deep and sincere emotional bond with this land.
This Bordeaux Superieur is a typical blend of the area, where Merlot plays the leading role, combined with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. The grapes are cultivated according to certified organic and biodynamic farming principles, on clay and limestone soils with southern and south-western exposures. In the cellar, the same non-interventionism adopted in the vineyard is followed, allowing the grapes to ferment spontaneously with only the addition of yeasts naturally present on the skins in thermoregulated steel vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in Saury barriques, 10% of which is new, and ageing will last for at least 12 months.
Chateau Jean Faux's Bordeaux Superieur "Les Sources" is characterised by a dense, pulpy and vegetal soul, capable of convincing the most diverse palates thanks to its incomparable silkiness. To the eye, it has ruby hues, at times illuminated by garnet reflections, while the nose exudes black tinged scents of undergrowth, red berries, wet earth, Mediterranean scrub, with herbaceous contours. The sip fills the mouth with richness and power, caressing the palate with fine, velvety tannins and leaving a long spicy memory on the finish. A glass capable of transferring the drinker's mind to that renowned and exclusive terroir of Bordeaux.
