The "Les Pins Francs" of the Chateau Jean Faux winery is a Bordeaux Blanc from the Saint-Emilion area. It comes from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon that are pressed in whole clusters and fermented by means of indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. On the nose are perceived hints of ripe white fruit, such as peach, apple and tropical fruits accompanied by a floral finish. The palate develops rich and full-bodied, with a persistent structure and excellent freshness.

The Bordeaux Blanc "Les Pins Francs" from Chateau Jean Faux is the fruit of an ambitious project created by Pascal Collotte and Stéphane Derenoncourt, a renowned oenologist and consultant, who decided to create a new domaine in a particularly vocated area of Bordeaux. The wine is the most classic expression of terroir and is characterised by an aromatically intense profile and a lively mineral freshness, which gives the sip an easy fluidity and immediate drinking pleasure. This is a white that should definitely be tried, not least to dispel the false prejudice that Bordeaux is a land where only great reds are produced.
"Les Pins Francs is a Bordeaux Blanc that originates near Sainte Radegonde, on the south bank of the Dordogne, just opposite the famous village of Saint-Émilion. Chateau Jean Faux manages an estate of around 12 hectares cultivated in full respect of nature, following the principles of organic farming and biodynamic practices. The cuvée is a classic local blend based on Sauvignon Blanc, supplemented by a small percentage of Sémillon. The vines are about 25 years old and planted on limestone-clay soils. Harvesting is carried out manually, the grapes are softly pressed and the free-run must ferments spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 12 months in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve the clear varietal fragrance of the grapes.
The Bordeaux Blanc 'Les Pins Francs' wine from Chateau Jean Faux is a pleasant discovery, a label that confirms the excellent work carried out by this young entity and the noble tradition of a legendary terroir. The aromatic freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc marries wonderfully with the fruity richness of the Sémillon, giving an intense wine of great expressive elegance. Bright straw yellow in colour, it is characterised by aromas of white flowers, vegetal nuances of aromatic herbs, notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and tropical fruit. Ample and rich, it has a ripe and satisfying fruitiness that lengthens towards a fresh and savoury finish.
