Barolo red wine "Sorì Ginestra," in Magnum format, is one of the heavyweights of the entire appellation, which, at least once in a lifetime, must be tasted. Indeed, with every sip, the beauty of Nebbiolo grown in one of the most important crus of the Langhe emerges, in which the typical aromas of the varietal mingle with the tertiary scents derived from the long period of ageing. A Conterno Fantino signature bottle that is almost mythological, a collector's item for those who love to invest in the world of wine, or a memorable drink for those who want to indulge immediately in the luxury of a label with unforgettable traits!
This Barolo Magnum "Sorì Ginestra" comes from pure Nebbiolo grapes, grown right within the cru that gives the label its name. The vines, whose age ranges between 30 and 45 years, grow within a south-facing terroir composed of a subsoil in which, alongside an important percentage of silt, we also find clay and sand. The berries, organically grown and hand-selected during the harvest by the Conterno Fantino team, ferment and macerate in contact with the skins in horizontal steel winemakers for 8-15 days. This is followed by the ageing phase, carried out first for 24 months in barrique and then, after bottling, for another 12 months directly in the glass.
"Sorì Ginestra" is a Barolo that, in the glass, develops a garnet-coloured, very deep hue. The range of scents that traces the olfactory profile of this label moves on sensations of dried flowers, enhanced by notes of fruit and distant hints of spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and important, with a refined sip that flows impeccably on the palate thanks to a perfectly worked tannin. A great Piedmont red wine, with which the Conterno Fantino winery ranks at the top of the entire appellation.
