Massolino's Barolo is a full-bodied and intense Magnum, among the most classic and celebrated expressions of Serralunga d'Alba. After aging for 30 months in oak barrels, it shows ample hints of fruit and red flowers, an intense and important spiciness and a full-bodied, structured and persistent taste
Massolino's Barolo Magnum is an expression of classic and traditional style that best embodies the peculiarities of the territory of Serralunga d'Alba, where the Massolino winery is based and to which it is closely linked. It is one of the wineries with the most history, recognition and experience in the Langhe, a true guarantee of quality. The origins of this family business date back to 1896, when Giovanni founded his own wine business in Serralunga.
Barolo Massolino comes from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the family's own land, which they cultivate with great farming experience. The vineyards are located on rolling hills between 320 and 360 meters above sea level on south-facing limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in steel with maceration for about 15 days and ageing in oak barrels for 30 months. The result is a classic, elegant and traditional expression of the terroir, excellent to drink immediately or to let age for a long time in the cellar.
Barolo di Massolino Magnum is a landmark label from the Serralunga area, endowed with character and excellent balance. It exudes rich and intense aromas of red fruit, berries, sweet and wild spices. The sip is full-bodied, severe, austere and elegant, long and persistent. We are dealing with a Barolo Magnum that is not afraid of ageing and that manifests with personality the true character of the Langhe.
