The Barolo of the Lo Zoccolaio cellar is the most authentic expression of the richness of the territory from which it originates: the Langhe. The exposure of the estate's vineyards is among the best in the area and the grapes come from Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Verduno; vinification ends with 36 months of ageing in French barriques that give this wine its renowned structure. The colour is garnet and the aromas released give sensations of oriental spices and toasting. The palate is ample, intense, with lively tannins and a long, savoury finish.

Barolo Lo Zoccolaio is the Piedmontese winery's label that best interprets and represents the traditional face of this Langhe excellence. Following the most ancient customs of the territory, based on the technique of blending various plots, the wine is made from a selection of the best grapes harvested in the various vineyards of the estate, in order to always guarantee an excellent level of quality. This choice makes it possible to obtain a particularly balanced and complex red wine, in which the complementary components of the various vineyards blend harmoniously, creating a high-level taste experience. It is the perfect bottle to understand the style of the winery and the authentic character of the Langhe.
The Barolo wine Lo Zoccolaio was born in the heart of the Langhe, in a winery attentive to preserving the traditions of the area and producing quality wines from classic Piedmontese vines. The grapes come from several Nebbiolo vineyards, located in the communal territories of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Verduno, cultivated at an average altitude of around 300 metres above sea level with a prevalent south-westerly exposure. The vines are a dozen years old and take root in very suitable soils, consisting of calcareous marl with the presence of clay and sand. After the harvest, which takes place in October, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C, with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks. The Barolo matures in French oak barriques for at least 36 months and ends its ageing with 6 months in the bottle.
Zoccolaio Barolo is a great red wine to be enjoyed on an important evening in combination with a braised or stewed meat or game. In the glass it is garnet red in colour with luminous orange reflections. Elegant and fine, it has an olfactory profile characterised by aromas of small red berries, delicately spicy hints and floral nuances of violets and officinal herbs. On the palate it has a good structure, with an evolved and mature tannic texture, well integrated with the body of the wine. The sip is complex and intense, with a remarkable taste persistence and a finish of good freshness. Its natural longevity allows it to be kept in the cellar for many years.
