Barbera d'Alba from the Trediberri winery is a young and expressive red wine that does not find its strength in the complexity and sophisticated sip of classic Piedmontese wines, but in a straightforward and juicy drinkability, supported by good acidity and considerable alcohol content. Perfect for pairing with first and second courses of traditional Piedmontese meat dishes!

Trediberri's Barbera d'Alba is a pure expression of the vine, 'naked and raw' as the producer himself says, 'unpolished by any passage in wood'. The Trediberri winery is located in La Morra, one of the 11 communes dedicated to the production of Barolo, where it has boldly established itself in a short time as one of the most pleasant newcomers to the area. It all began in 2007 with three partners and a vineyard in the small hamlet of Berri, hence the name Trediberri. There, Nicola, his father Federico and his friend Vladimiro bought 5 hectares with the intention of making great Barolo. Today, 3 hectares have been added to the initial plot in the Rocche dell'Annunziata, Torriglione and Capalot vineyards, also dedicated to other vines including Barbera.
Trediberri Barbera d'Alba is made exclusively from Barbera grapes coming partly from the Roero area and partly from the vineyards around the village of Torriglione. The freshly harvested grapes are mellowed in cement vats for alcoholic fermentation lasting about 12-15 days, followed by complete malolactic fermentation in cement or steel. After cold stabilisation, which takes place thanks to external temperatures or in thermoregulated tanks, the mass remains to mature in cement, steel or fibreglass for a few months before bottling.
The Barbera d'Alba from the Piedmontese winery Trediberri has a brilliant ruby red colour with violet flashes. The nose is dominated by generous fruity hints of blackberry and cherry, supported by a pleasant spicy vein reminiscent of black pepper. The taste, full-bodied and juicy, is characterised by marked freshness and soft tannins that anticipate the fruity finish consistent with the nose. The producer's recommendation is to pair this Barbera with a traditional Piedmontese dish such as bollito misto.
