ALTENI DI BRASSICA GAJA 2020 DESCRIPTION

Brassica's Alteni white provides us, should we still need it, with an essay of the great skill and the continuous search for perfection on the part of Gaja, a winery that conquers not only with the great Barbaresco but also with this label, complete and comprehensive. Indeed, this bottle expresses a splendid varietal typicity, as it paints in a commendable way the characteristics of the grape variety used at the start, Sauvignon. Exotic fruit and vegetal notes take turns on the nose while a refreshing sip accompanies the drink, making Brassica Alteni ideal to enjoy in combination with first and second course fish dishes.

This Brassica Alteni white wine comes from using a great international grape variety, Sauvignon. It is widely grown worldwide, and even in Piedmont, it finds some particularly suitable areas. Gaja, in particular, grows within the terroir of the Langhe, and the grapes, after harvest, are vinified and aged for a half-year in small French oak barrels. Once this maturation is complete, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.

Brassica Alteni is a wine that presents itself, on visual examination, with a golden yellow colour that is striking for its concentration and intensity. The nose is fine and subtle, dominated by exotic fruit notes and herbaceous and vegetal sensations, typically varietal. It is full-bodied, deep and harmonious on the palate, with a sip characterized by a pleasant freshness, which fuels a full and satisfying drink. A label that confirms all the great quality of Gaja, which amazes the palate of wine lovers with sublime red wines and a white of the highest level. Try it to believe!
