Rum Bumbu is a rich and complex distillate, which is still prepared with great craftsmanship, in full respect of the centuries-old Caribbean tradition. It is unmistakable from the first glance. To reinforce the historical connotation of the packaging, the choice of using a large cork left exposed also contributes. The contents do not betray expectations, we are in front of a great Rum created with excellent raw materials and aged for a long time in fine casks. To be tasted neat to appreciate its complexity and persistence.
Bumbu Rum is a bottle of absolute excellence, coming from a land that has produced some of the best rums in the Caribbean for over four centuries. It is the fruit of a research project of the best excellences of the Caribbean area. The raw material, in fact, consists of different varieties of sugar cane from 8 countries in the Caribbean and South America: Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guyana and Honduras. A choice that gives the Rum an extraordinary complexity, harmony and expressive balance. Distillation is carried out using continuous stills, which guarantee remarkable purity and aromatic richness. Rum is aged for 15 years in oak casks and is lowered in degree before bottling using the purest water from the Barbados springs.
Rum Bumbu is a great distillate for ageing, ideal for those who prefer the rich smoothness and prevalence of intense tertiary aromas resulting from the very long period of ageing in wood. It has a fairly intense amber colour, with luminous reddish reflections that turn towards mahogany. The nose is characterised by a particularly rich and intense aromatic picture, broad and dense, with scents of vanilla, soft oriental spices, honeyed sweetness and caramel, aromas of dried fruit, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts, hints of cocoa and dark chocolate, toasted nuances of noble woods and hints of roasting. On the palate, it is enveloping and structured, with a very deep, warm, aromatically broad and persistent mouthfeel, extending towards a long, harmonious finish.
